Getting started

On first launch, Heirloom asks you to pick a folder in iCloud Drive — that's where your recipes live, as plain files you own. Pick (or create) a folder like iCloud Drive ▸ Heirloom. Every device signed into your iCloud that runs Heirloom and picks the same folder stays in sync automatically.

Adding recipes

From the web: tap +, choose URL, and paste a link — Heirloom reads the recipe and grabs the photo.
From anywhere else: copy recipe text and use the Paste tab.
From Paprika: export a .paprikarecipes archive and import it in one go.
By hand: the New tab is a simple form.

Cooking mode

Open a recipe and tap Start Cooking — big readable steps, tap-to-check ingredients, automatic timer suggestions, and the screen stays awake while you cook.
