Heirloom – Family Recipes

The short version

Heirloom collects no data. None. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads, no tracking, and no servers of ours that ever see your recipes.

Where your data lives

Your recipes and photos are stored as files in a folder you choose in your iCloud Drive. They sync between your devices through Apple's iCloud, governed by Apple's privacy policy. We have no access to them — Heirloom has no backend.

Network requests the app makes

Heirloom only touches the network when you explicitly ask it to:

Importing a recipe from a URL — the app fetches that web page directly from your device to read the recipe and its photo.
Finding a dish photo — if you tap "Auto-find image," the app queries Wikipedia and TheMealDB with the dish name only.

These requests go straight from your device to those sites. Nothing about you is sent — no identifiers, no location, no recipe library contents.

What we can see

Nothing. We can't see your recipes, your photos, your searches, or whether you use the app at all.

Children

Heirloom collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the update will be posted at this URL with a new date above.
